Great. There are two ways to clean granite: wet or dry. You can also clean concrete, marble, limestone, and travertine.
Like most ceramic tiles, mine have a shiny top. This is even though I have a professional wet tile saw and blade. It’s almost impossible to cut without leaving any chips behind. So I bought this in the hope that I would be able to make smooth edges like those in the factory.
Before and after pictures show that it does a good job getting the smaller chips smooth, but it’s almost impossible to get the bigger ones out. I don’t think this is because of the diamond sanding pad, but because the tile I was using was cheap.
Still, I think the best way to get a good edge on low-quality ceramic tiles like these is to use several different grits to get it. As this 60 grit sanding pad is a little pricey, I hoped it would do it all. But to do the job right, I’d probably start with a 30 or 40 grit, then move on to a 60, and finish with a 100 or 120.
You should not do any tile work without it. Even though you might want to buy more grits to get a real pro finish.
4 stars instead of 5 because the price is high and there is only one grit. Otherwise, I think it’s a good idea.
If you want to keep the ceramic dust out of your nose and eyes, wear a particle mask (N95 is best) and goggles to keep them clean.
