An important part of the SawStop saw when cutting with a dado head is this. Before you open the package, though, make sure you read everything. When I ordered from Amazon, they sent me a cartridge for a 10″ blade (TSBC-10R2) that was marked as if it was for an 8″ blade. Because they don’t work together, it’s going back.
As a side note, SawStop support told me that a lot of dado sets are a little bigger than 8″ and won’t work with this cartridge. If you own or are going to buy a dado set, make sure that it will work. For myself, I bought the Freud SD208S, which says it’s SawStop-compatible. It’s not just some of them. There are also a lot of people who aren’t.
