An overview of what this item is abou.

The BOSCH line of countersinks are great for deburring and chamfering openings to pre-drilled holes. Especially good for contractors in the fields of electricity, plumbing, and heating and air. Countersinks made by BOSCH cut a wide range of materials cleanly and accurately. With standard high-speed steel and super hard titanium-coated bits, these countersinks perform great in even the toughest materials. From the Manufacture.

Fixed Bases for 1617 and 1618 Series Routers are also made for use with Router Tables. The Base allows wrenches to be accessed above the table for easy depth adjustments.

A few months ago, I went through two bases. I think it works well for a day or two. On both bases and within just a few days, the E retaining ring on the adjustment rod that is too flimsy to handle adjusting the router on a table bends out of shape and falls off. The first base I had got stuck so badly, I basically had to break the base to get it off the router. People should be ashamed of themselves. They did this on the second base. After a few days, the “fix” didn’t work either. There is a bent E retaining ring, a striped adjustment rod, and the stem itself is stripped in the base. I can’t get the router out with an allen wrench because it’s broken. Thus, the macro adjustment lever is stuck in place, which means that my router is stuck, stuck, stuck, which means I can’t move it. You can send it in for repair, or you can go to a repair shop that is approved by Bosch.

I will have this base fixed or replaced every other week because of this trend with this one. No, thanks.
