After looking at it, I found that the anvil assembly needed to be cleaned out. I used a dremel with a small drum wheel and did a quick pass in it. This anvil now works great. I think the part is good. I just need to clean up the hole at the back a little. It only took me five seconds with the dremel to get it to do its job. This dewalt model DCF899 type 3 impac gun works as well as it did when it first came out again.
