I used a circ saw diamond blade to make straight cuts and those cuts were pretty smooth from the diamond blade. But I had to make an inside and outside curve using a 4 in grinder diamond wheel which caused cut marks. The 50 and 100 and 150 pads did a great job smoothing the cuts, they work week and aggressively. Did those dry. After that since I had only about 6 ft total of edgeto polish I went slowly and used a squirt bottle of water and a dripping sponge to keep the work area wet. That worked out for me. Once you get to 1000 grit, you start to see the polished edge come around. By the 3000 grit, it’s kind of incredible. The only thing I don’t like is that the pad comes with a weird thread. It’s not very useful for most common tools that have a 5/8 thread, though.
