Cuts well on less air than most other cutoffs do, too. Doesn’t work as well, but it’s not bad. I run this on my hf 12 gallon compressor to make sure it works well. It cuts for about a minute before the tank runs out. Then I have to wait for the compressor to keep up with it. There is only one thing that I don’t like about it: It spills some oil out of its bearings onto the work piece. I’ve been using a hf cutoff tool for a long time. My complaint was that it used a lot of air and wasn’t as powerful as it said it was. The last time I used it, it started to leak oil and use more air than my regulator could supply. My old tool was broken. I replaced it with a kobalt tool, but it spewed oil out of the front so bad that the cutting wheel couldn’t even make sparks, so it went back after one cut. Then, I found this Dewalt for less money, so I bought it instead. If you don’t have a big compressor, I think this is a good way to do it.
