Buy Floor Drill Press Stand Table for Drill Workbench Repair Tool Clamp for Drilling Collet, drill Press Table YEEZUGO

A power drill with a collar diameter of 38mm to 43mm (1.48″ to 1.7″) can be used on this heavy duty drill stand. The reducing bush is included. In addition to drilling at the surface, this drill stand can also be used to drill round workpieces, boards, and other things.

Much less expensive than buying a full drill press. If you want a full-size drill press stand, this one has everything you need.

Because it has separate controls for press depth and drill height, you can move the drill around without risking drilling into the stand.

There are three different sizes of drill collar inserts that come with the stand. The drill collar can be adjusted to fit a wide range of tools.

It has a strong column bar and the base has slots for a machine vice and four places to clamp it to your worktable.

Besides that, it also has a depth adjustment scale and stop with an adjustable scale ring so that you can make sure you set the drilling depth to the last millimeter.

We like this drill press a lot, but it has three big problems right out of the box.

1. The column tube isn’t strong enough for the weight of a hand drill (mine is a 8.5 A DeWalt). Any pressure on the drill causes the drill bit to move out of line (forward-to-back) by as much as 1/8 of an inch.

2. The same lock mechanism that lets you rotate the drill 90 degrees doesn’t let you set it perfectly vertical. The drill is out of level by a few degrees even when the lock is at zero, and there is no more room to rotate the assembly.

In this case, the clamp is 20 mils too wide to hold the standard 43mm drill without having to use one of the plastic inserts that came with the tool set. Then the thinnest plastic insert that comes with the clamp is still too thick, making it a real pain to put the drill in the clamp. There is a 1 HP motor in this drill, so even though it is mounted, the plastic insert is not a good idea.

Packing for a return: I was ready for it to be sent back when I thought about what else I could do. A drill mount made by Unitec is the only real alternative, and it costs six times as much. I then took this stand out of the box and ordered a sturdy thick-walled stainless steel tube for the column. I will then grind some material out of the 90 degree lock mechanism to allow for maybe a 1/32″ of extra travel to be able to position the drill at truly 0 degrees vertically, and then I will use some 10 mil copper or similar material instead of the plastic insert for the clamp. These steps should hopefully make this stand usable.
