The Makita 5008MGA has a lot of power, but the electric brake is new to me. My other saws didn’t have them (spinning blades crawl to a stop from older designs). There is no way I will ever buy another saw without an e-brake. Better for people who do a lot of work at the same time: It’s safer and faster.
Weight: This thing is heavier than it looks, but it isn’t hard to use with one hand. It isn’t too hard. Take that into account for your own safety. To cut through thin wood, you’ll need a sharper blade or better touch. In the past, my saws were small and light, but they didn’t have as much weight or power as the Makita. When I do most of my work, the extra weight comes in handy. It helps keep the saw down, in line, and from jumping up. The strength. So this isn’t a laser, but when I compare it to my other saws, it has cut through them without a hitch. Not at all.
As a bonus, the handle is made out of rubber, which makes it very comfortable and easy for people to use. As for the LED lights, I didn’t think they would be very useful, but they do help with getting a good view or when the sun sets. When you work for a long time, the rubber handles will help you stay less tired or shaken.
you can tell that there is a lot of good balance when you turn on the unit. If you’re holding the saw with one hand, it will start up a little bit. It won’t be too hard to move around with the saw on. It doesn’t lean to one side because of the weight difference or the spinning motor or blade.
Sawdust comes from the front, so if you’re cutting while looking down, you can get it in your face. This is the only thing I don’t like about it. When I bought this, it didn’t come with a case that I could have put an extra blade or tools in.
All in all, I’m happy with the Makita 5008. Good value, good power, and a great tool.
