I have a lot of experience with rotary tools, so I can help you. For more than two years, I have mostly used them for wood carving. I have carved with burrs of many types and styles with both 1/4″ and 1/8″ shanks. There are two different types of rotary tools that I use: one for home use and one for work. So, I can talk about rotary burrs from my own experience, too.
My first set of wood burrs looked a lot like these, but they were much better and still work today. I wish I had known the company. In this case, there are two big problems with it. First, the cross cut is very bad. There are two knives on my set, but the second cut doesn’t seem to have even hit the burr. This makes the knives less effective at cutting wood. Second, the shanks and metal are a little thinner and less strong. They bent on their first use. If you use a power saw, you know that when the shank bends, the burr is no longer useful. The taper burr was the worst, because the burr itself cut through the thickest part of the burr, sending the tip flying away.
So, while these are very cheap, they are also very cheap. Recommend that you look for better quality.
