I’ve been a Makita fan for a long time now, and I still love them. 9.6V is back. Even though I already have a blue LXT impact driver, I’ve been looking at this one because it’s so small and compact. Every time I go to HD, I have to pick up one of their show cars. I also have an M12 impact, which I love and use a lot. It’s just not fast enough for screws that are long, like deck screws. So get this one, and it’s great. If it doesn’t have as much power as my blue model, it’s very close to being the same. I can’t tell them apart. It moves screws very quickly. My hyper drive seems to start a little late, but that could be because I don’t understand how the tool works.
I also gave my son some batteries as a gift. He had a few 1.5 Ah batteries, which is what I need for this. Makes it as light and small as possible. As long as we both get what we want, it’s a win-win for everyone.
I have nothing but good things to say about this. It was the best price I’ve ever seen, and I’m so happy I bought it. Buy it if you are on the fence. You won’t be sorry!
