This is the first electric ratchet I’ve ever had that I liked and didn’t break the bank. My motor was pulled this weekend and I didn’t have any trouble. Use traditional or 20-volt impact guns if you want to get to things that are easier to reach with traditional guns. People cross over. If it’s already in my hand and I have 8 bolts to get at at once, I’m not going to switch to another tool. But charging when I was working on easier things or broke worked out just fine. I’ll soon have three batteries, which is better. As you can see, the battery life isn’t the best, but it’s still a 5. To be powerful, a 12v tool has to draw lots of power, and that quickly drains the battery. If that’s a concern, look at the less powerful models. I think that careful battery management or having a spare are better options, given what this can do, though.
So, I don’t know if it is 45ft lbs., but I used to have some M14s that won awards. When I broke them free by hand, I used this little thing to help. There was a lot of weight and grime on them, which made them very hard to move. A lot of people did not think this would work. I’m going back and adding the 3/8ths brushless to it because it worked so well.
It has a great small size, is ergonomic, and is very easy to use. The body, like all of these, is a little big. The head is small and fits into some very small places. The best productivity boost I’ve had since I switched to 20v impact guns and no longer had to dance with an airline is this tool. I’d give it 10 out of 10.
A motor rebuild, an engine and transmission swap, a motor rebuild, and a resto-mod frame up are all on the way for this little thing.
