A lot of time will be saved if you use this tool. When I used it to clean black bamboo flooring (what? I know) it did a good job (see picture). People who have bamboo flooring should lower their PSI. In my case, it was 85 PSI; start with 75 PSI and keep going up until your staple is flush with the tongue of your wood flooring (use scrap for this testing).
You can protect your prefinished floor with a “pre-finished-flooring adapter foot” that comes with the tool. There’s no need to use a piece of 2×6 to align and tighten the floor planks with this adapter foot. Tape (blue painter’s tape) all sharp parts of the tool, including the bottom shoe, and your new floor will be scratch-free.
Keep it clean and lubricated as well. Finally, make sure that you use the right spacer shoe for your floor thickness. In my case, I used the 5/8 spacer shoe.
