Dastool Dt1701-125 is a 5-inch surface grinder from Dastool. When you’re grinding concrete, you should use a Dust Shroud to keep the dust in your work area under control. Dust can be collected through this unit’s flush door when flush edge grinding is done. Allows for the collection of harmful dust during surface grinding by attaching directly to 4.5″/5″ all major brand grinders. Locking the attachment to the vac hose in place. When an efficient dust collection system is used, this attachment improves productivity and reduces the risk of people getting sick from silica dust.

The box comes with the following: 1 Dust Shroud, 6 Clamping Washers, 1 Shroud Wrench, 1 Universal Vacuum Cleaner Hose Adapter, and 1 User’s Guide.

When I tried this product, it didn’t work with my Chicago tools grinder. It did work with my Makita 7021, but the cup wheel rubbed against it, which took a lot of time. I bought a Makita shroud instead. A lot of people have answered questions about this device that may work for the 5″ model but not for the 7″ model. The seller should put the instructions on the site.

In comparison to other products, I think this one is better made than most of them. I did wish it worked with my angle grinders, though.

John, thanks.
