I’ve used dremels like they’re out of style. I thought it would be a good idea to spend money on something that looked better.
So I bought the Foredom TX, but I keep breaking the shafts of the drills I use. I hang it above my head to make sure there aren’t any tight curves, but I’ve already used three shafts in the last five or six times. It’s true that when I use it, I’m going for a few hours with a lot of different bits (carving wood), and I’ve taken care to make sure the shaft is just the right length “Some of the cable comes out of the sleeve, and there is some new greese on it, but the shaft keeps breaking.
At times, I’ve used expensive bits, but the shaft has broken at different times. It doesn’t matter how much I’m hogging material or how well I do my work.
