Sandblasting Glass Beads: Our #8 Spec (70-100 GRIT) glass bead is our most popular abrasive media. Cleans, peens, deburrs, descals, finishes, and removes light rust, chipped paint, scale, oxidation, and calcium deposits. For painting and powder coating metal surfaces, this is the best thing to do. This is good for everything from pistons and engine blocks to tools and machinery to automotive and airline parts. It works well on cast iron and aluminum as well as steel.

Glass bead blasting, on the whole, leaves a smooth, satin-like finish. Cleans without hurting the surface. With a low risk of etching or warping, this medium isn’t as rough as other ones. Our glass blasting microbeads won’t get into, contaminate, or leave behind any residue.

If you want to bead blast something, this is the most common size of glass we have. It can be used for many different projects. A sandblaster gun or a sandblasting cabinet should be used to use the glass media. Wet sandblasting, dry blasting, and bead blasting cabinets are all good places to use the glass beads. It works well on metals, wood, and many types of plastics. Sandblasting grit is very good at getting rid of oxidation layers and residues without hurting the surface. Make sure that metal surfaces are clean before applying paint or coatings to make sure they work well. APPLICATION: It’s best to use it at low pressure, 20-60 PSI. It is easier to peen at a 90 degree angle. SAFETY: Always use NIOSH-approved respiratory protection and personal safety equipment when blasting with glass beads. Make sure you follow safety rules for sandblasting machines and tools, too.
You need this glass beed if you want to fix old parts of cars or bikes, like old dirt bikes. It makes old aluminum that has been oxidized or corroded look brand new without hurting the surface. It’s also good for getting the dirt off of bolts. People who use this should be aware that it will remove the very thin gold electro coating on hardware. The Central China Pneumatic media cabinet should be put to good use. I’m here. In the siphon tube, the water flows very well. I’m using a bad compressor that isn’t strong enough for a media blasting cabinet.
