Sandblasting Glass Beads: Our #8 Spec (70-100 GRIT) glass bead is our most popular abrasive media. Cleans, peens, deburrs, descals, finishes, and removes light rust, chipped paint, scale, oxidation, and calcium deposits. For painting and powder coating metal surfaces, this is the best thing to do. This is good for everything from pistons and engine blocks to tools and machinery to automotive and airline parts. It works well on cast iron and aluminum as well as steel.
