The AirCat line is the most important development in pneumatic power tools in more than 30 years. Our company was started in 1998, and our tool line has a lot less noise while still having a lot more power and torque. AirCat also has a patented ergonomically engineered handle design that helps the operator’s hands, wrists, and arms be less stressed and tired. AirCat has patented tuned exhaust muffler technology in most of its tools, which allows air to pass through without causing back pressure. This allows more power to be kept and significantly reduces noise.
When I compare this to my square corded sander, this thing is like night and day. This thing is great because it doesn’t shake very much and it’s also very light, which makes moving it around the screen very easy.
The regulator on this thing also needs to be turned down. If it isn’t, this thing will take in a lot of air. But you can turn it down a lot and still get great rpms out of it while using very little air for a long time. I have an old craftsman 30 gallon 6 hp and it runs this sander without a hitch at all. Worth the money, just hope it lasts.
