The store-bought granite vanity top had to be cut down in width. I looked at a lot of reviews and decided on this design because others had square nubs that fell off when I used them, and I didn’t want that. Plus, I also liked that there were fewer steps to get to the end. When I used this product, I didn’t have to worry about separation, and the polishing was good as well.
Finally, the end result was a good look. That’s why I wanted to make sure it looked as good as the original product. It does.
A manufacturing flaw was found in the granite top when I was sealing it. The original polishing wasn’t done, so grinder marks could be seen. The granite sealer had a hard time keeping water out of the granite. I tried to use these disks to get rid of the small marks from the grinder. They didn’t work. This helped a lot, but the best polishing still didn’t match up with the original. But, only I would notice, because the difference is so small that it’s hard to tell.
Note that this is a product that can be used to make things look better. That means you’ll need a separate disk or grinder to grind down the stone to your desired line. You won’t be able to grind the stone at all with this, but you will be able to polish the cut.
