When I first bought these, I ran about 50,000 stainless 2-1/2″ nails through them before there were any major problems. I’ve now gone through three of these, and the first two worked great. There are no more of those. To have a working one on hand, I bought the third one. This one only worked for about 200 1-1/2″ galvanized nails before it stopped working, so I bought another one. It makes a lot of noises when the trigger is pressed against the work piece. Finally, it shoots a nail and shuts off. I tried different batteries and didn’t have any luck. Over $10,000 has been spent on Milwaukee tools by me as a commercial contractor, and I have a lot of their tools. I’ve always been a fan, but the last three Milwaukee tools I’ve bought haven’t been good at all. It might be time to switch back to Makita. This is what I think.

If I didn’t have the other two I had that were great until they died, I’d give this one star.

In the last few days, I’ve taken three of them in for warranty work. Three times: One of them has done this before. Nobody worked after they were fixed. A single shot doesn’t come out of them. In the end, I have more than $900 worth of useless tools and three pieces of trim to install, which means I will have to drive home and get the pneumatic nailer and other tools I need. Not a happy customer right now. For anyone who wants to know, the M18 shop vac only works sometimes, and even with the 4.0 battery, the M12 rotary cutter can’t get through 1/2″ drywall, even with the 4.0 battery.
