In the United States, I had never heard of JCB cordless tools, but the low price drew my attention. In conclusion, these tools are designed and built at a cost that would be significantly higher than the $200 or so that I paid for the initial five pieces. When you factor in the reasonable price of the additional 4 amp battery ($32.00), you have a suite that is not only affordable, but also appears to be good enough for professional use. On the latter point, only time will tell, but so far everything appears to be in order.
For the limited amount of work I have done with them thus far, I have found the battery life to be excellent. I have not had the opportunity to put them through their paces in more demanding situations.
