The telescoping drill clamp is compatible with drills and impact drivers of all sizes, including newer lithium-ion models, according to the manufacturer. The tool can now be rotated 360 degrees and locked into position thanks to a recent redesign. The adjustment wrench is now stored with the tool, which prevents it from being misplaced. The hex shank drive shaft can be attached directly to the chuck of any drill or impact driver with no additional tools required. Fast-cutting blades are designed specifically for fiber cement siding and nothing else. The blades are designed in such a way that dust is minimized. In fiber cement siding up to 5/16″ thick, the wide skid plate design provides stability for a precise clean cut (including window and door arches) (8mm). TSF1RB is a replacement blade.
The fascia on my roof is made of Hardie plank, which I found online. I was only able to locate 7.25 “I had a plank that was approximately 1″ too wide, so I had to remove 1” from approximately 40 pieces of Hardie. Using the Malco shears made this a pleasurable experience. Following the installation of a fence, it takes approximately 20 seconds to complete the cut. I’m making use of the number one “Starter strips for other projects can be made out of scrap pieces.
Issues.
A) I have a keyless chuck, and it keeps coming loose from its mounting bracket. I’ve discovered that I have to drag my finger across the chuck in order to keep it from coming loose.
B) The clamping system for attaching this to the drill is a little clumsy and cumbersome. Simply put, because most drills were never designed or intended to have a tool clamped on like this, the drill case makes it clumsy. For the duration of the project, it is fortunate that I have a second drill because I do not want to take it off and put it back on every time. As a result, I deducted one star from this tool’s rating.
