As other reviewers have pointed out, this is simply an assortment of three sizes and six grits, as well as mandrels, thrown into a box.

I intend to take care of them, but haven’t gotten around to it yet. As a result of the way the different sizes have been nestled within each other within this box, I do not anticipate that everything will fit back into the included box once they have been separated out into baggies. As a side note, because of the nature of rotary tool sanding drums (surface area vs RPMs), I believe these will be of adequate quality when I need to use them because even the name brand drums have a relatively short life expectancy (see below).

I understand that the packaging is a sort of trade-off for the price, and I’m okay with that. In addition, as another reviewer has pointed out, there are two different sizes of collet required, and the largest sanding drum makes use of the mandrel equipped with the smaller collet. Even if you don’t work with rotary tools very often, enough to purchase an assortment of sanding drums like this, you’re likely to have a few different collets lying around, as I do, which is a little strange. The 1/2″ mandrel has a 3/32″ shaft, but the smaller mandrels have the more common 1/8” shaft “What are your thoughts on this.

One star deducted for the cram-it-all-into-an-undersized-box packaging, and another deducted for the undersized mandrels that did not come with a collet, respectively. If you understand what you’re getting yourself into in terms of these two issues, the sanding drums themselves appear to be excellent.
