Come on, an SDS *MAX* Rotary hammer for about $250? Really. No way in hell. That’s exactly what I was thinking. The fact that it says “SDS Plus system” in the description was confusing, and I thought the price was so low that even if it WAS a Plus setup, I’d return it because it was so little. Nope. This is a genuine SDS Max system, and it *kicks ass* in every way. The bit shanks are extremely heavy duty, measuring 3/4″ in diameter. I used a clay spade to chisel away at the incredibly hard-packed dirt on my land, which was like ice cream in comparison. Simply said, this is an exceptionally well-built, aesthetically pleasing, and POWERFUL machine. You have to wonder how much profit Bosch, Milwaukee, and other companies are making off of unsuspecting customers with their pricing. It either hammers or hammers drills; it does not have a Drill-only option, as my Bosch SDS Plus model does..but I spent the same money for both, and the Bosch appears to be a pipsqueak in comparison to the Bosch. Watch your backs, gentlemen, for this is a heavy-duty and HEAVY piece of equipment.
