The only thing I can say about this tool is that I wish I’d had it a LONG time ago. In order to remove nails from pallets and barn wood, I’m employing this product. You simply lubricate it with a little oil and get to work. I’m powering it with an old Craftsman pancake compressor, and it’s performing admirably.
Place the nail inside the metal tube and pull the trigger to activate the device. How much more difficult can it possibly be. Some twisted nails may necessitate a second strike, but for the most part, a single strike will suffice. I bought a cheaper plastic tote and cut a square hole in the top of it with a sharp knife. Afterwards, I lay my boards on top of it and drive my nails into the bag, making collection a breeze. Previously, it would have taken me hours, but now it takes me less than 30 minutes. In my opinion, this is an excellent product.
