That’s some kind of jam-o-matic, right. I’ve used both Bostitch and B&C staples, and they’re both excellent. It took me twice as long to complete my flooring project as it should have because I was either pulling out staple balls or checking to see if each trigger pull fired a staple. I’m not a big fan of cursing, but it’s convenient that Bostitch sounds so close to a cussword..because that’s exactly what it is. Another staple was curled by the bostitch, proving that the bostitch is a useless piece of equipment. The sticker on the side of the vehicle should have served as my first indication of its proclivity to jam: “OPEN CHANNEL FOR EASY JAM CLEARING. I’m sure glad that open channel is still available..I’ve made extensive use of it. In order to make it work reliably, I tried everything: changing the staple brand, frequent magazine cleaning, judicious drops of air tool oil on the spring, follower, and actuator, and so on (none in port). I even had a pleasant conversation with it. Not even a dozen staples could keep it running smoothly for more than an hour. In conclusion, I am not aware of any viable alternatives to this one.. I just know that I’m not even close to being able to recommend this product at this point. I’m not even going to try to sell it because anyone who would have bought it from me would have despised me. That is not acceptable. Do you have any good points. Painting is nice, and it’s lightweight, and whatever oil they use in it smells good..but that’s about it for the positive aspects. I recommend you stay away from this unit.
