False advertising is defined as follows. It’s become something I’ve come to expect these days. Why aren’t the other reviewers bringing this to their attention.
According to the product information, “This product is manufactured in the United States of America. Japan, China, and Taiwan are listed on the packaging. The price of a made in the USA product includes a Japanese SDS adapter as well as a Chinese chuck and a Taiwanese chuck key, all for a reasonable price. No idea where the chuck retention screw was manufactured, but I’d be surprised if it was made in the United States of America.
It feels substantial, and it allows me to use my rotary hammer as if it were a large half-inch drill bit. However, I will never know whether or not they used the proper alloys and heat treatments. On the plus side, the SDS adapter, which is manufactured in Japan, is likely to be of high quality.
