The switch on the grinder is unique because it doesn’t have a safety lever that you have to flip back in order to start it. It also doesn’t have a safety switch. It’s a lot faster than having to flip the lever back and press it, but you might think that an extra five seconds isn’t worth it. The way this grinder feels in your hand makes a big difference. Because this grinder has been dropped and thrown around, I thought that the lever would break in a few months. It hasn’t broken yet. It is the only brand that has this unique feature. I haven’t found another one like this. It also has a lot of power, and it doesn’t slow down when it’s being used. Cut off discs won’t slow down or stop even if a lot of pressure is put on them. It comes with two collet wrenches that you can use to remove and tighten the screws. They are very small but strong. For most of the time, I use regular wrenches because they’re too small.
Having a swivel at the base where you attach the air hose makes it easier to hold and move around because you have to twist and move it a lot. I did, in fact, use one for a few months. I went through three of them and all of them started leaking air at the connection points. It might be because they were cheap, so I changed it back to a 1/4 adapter. If you’re going to buy one, make sure it’s good quality because you’ll just have to buy another one. Besides, the price was very reasonable. It’s still going strong after almost daily use for a year now. Shopping for a new unit? Don’t be afraid to stop looking, because I think you may have found it. I own a lot of Aircat products, and this one is no exception.
