In addition, the AIRCAT has a patented ergonomically engineered handle design that helps to relieve stress and fatigue on the operator’s hands, wrists, and arms while operating the machine. In most of its tools, AIRCAT uses patented tuned exhaust muffler technology, which allows discharged air to pass through without developing back pressure, allowing the tool to retain more power while simultaneously reducing noise by a significant amount.
My festoop midi discs and 3M cubitron discs work perfectly with this sander, which has excellent build quality, is smooth to operate, is extremely quiet, and has excellent dust extraction. My only complaint is that it is not a 3/16-inch sander as advertised, but rather a 3/32-inch sander instead. I already have a rupes 2.5mm sander, but I wanted something with a little more throw for more aggressive material removal. I found this one on Amazon. Aside from that one flaw, it’s a fantastic little 3in sander with excellent dust extraction capabilities.
