I don’t usually write product reviews, but this one is worth it. I had to grind down a four-foot section of my slab floor during a tile job because there was a hump in it. A few weeks ago, I used my Harbor Freight grinder with a diamond cup from Dewalt. After about 6 inches, it made so much dust that I had to stop. Clean the room took me a long time. For my 4.5-inch Harbor Freight angle grinder, I bought this dust shroud. It fit perfectly. For 4-5 inch grinders, the shroud comes with several different collar inserts so you can easily find one that fits. With my razor blade, I cut part of the rubber vacuum boot so that my shop vacuum hose would fit in the other end. Then the vacuum was a good fit. In my picture, you can see how I cut off the rubber boot on my 1 1/4-inch hose. If you have a 2 1/2-inch shop vac, you’ll need to buy either the universal adapter on Amazon for $10 or the 2.5-1.25 adapter from Home Depot for a few bucks and cut the rubber boot like I did. I just finished grinding a good 4 feet of my floor in about 10 minutes with no dust coming into the house. I can’t believe how well this thing works. I thought there would be some dust, but there wasn’t. If you have to grind concrete, this is a must-have piece of kit.
