“Harborfreight sells a”router speed control” for about $20.It’s designed for use with a wood router, but it works with most all portable power tools. I have one, it works great, I’ve never used it with my angle grinder, but now that you mentioned it, I think I might try it. It should make it work much better with those big 4 1/2″ knoted cup wire wheels.
