I bought this to polish my granite counter top, and it worked great for a while before it stopped working. Smoothed some rough spots with diamond pads and then polished with a polishing compound. The area measured approximately 12 square feet. Because of my arthritic hands, I had to use the machine in shorter sessions because it is heavy despite the fact that the handles are well placed and provide stability. When the machine’s speed is increased, it makes a loud noise. I used the machine for about 3-4 hours in total before it simply stopped working. Thought it was possible that it had flipped the circuit in the plug, but it didn’t work even after attempting a reset to the outlet and plugging into another outlet that did work. In my opinion, the “instructions” that came with the machine were completely ineffective. The brand name was not even printed on the instruction sheet, which was a major oversight. There were some basic safety instructions, a parts list, and a blownout diagram, all of which were completely useless to me. We had to figure it out on our own because there were no instructions on which pads to use for what and no troubleshooting instructions, so we had to wing it and hope nothing flew off. I attempted to look up the company, but was unable to locate any contact information for Aplman Corporation. This item is currently unavailable on Amazon, and it is unclear when it will be available again. I only recently purchased it at the beginning of April.
