During the course of reorganizing my garage, I came across this item, which I purchased 11 months ago. Unfortunately, I was dealing with some personal issues at the time, which prevented me from finishing the project. I only recently got around to restarting the project, and I was able to unpack the press in order to take measurements for the purpose of building a stand for it. I was astonished and disappointed. The entire frame is made of cast iron. Even though I work as a Mechanical Engineer, the casting is the worst thing I have ever seen in my life. Not to mention that it was not properly packaged for shipment, and the front right leg casting has been broken, as well as all of the bolts for adjusting the ram, which have been bent. I had anticipated significantly better quality from Jet and significantly better packaging for shipping from Amazon. This is a complete and utter piece of junk, not to mention that it is completely unusable in its current state. Except if you are a fan of junk, I would not recommend this press to anyone. If I had been given the option, I would have given it a zero-star rating.
