good for the price, but better than I thought it would be. Astro tools always seem to be a good value. With or without gloves on, the rubber grip feels good in the hand. It should help with hand and arm fatigue. The noise level is also very low for a cheap grinder. Because it isn’t very powerful. When I work on cars, I use a roloc disc or stripper wheel to get rid of paint and other coatings. This works well for that. It’s not strong enough to grind welds with a 3″ roloc, so I have another grinder set up for that.
Using the 2″ 24-grit roloc discs, this grinder does a good job of grinding welds. I prefer them to the 3″ discs, which I used to prefer. It’s great when I have a lot of welds to grind down because it’s easy to hold and doesn’t make a lot of noise. I’ve been using this grinder more and more, even though I could use a more powerful one that doesn’t have these things.
