Just to address the speed reduction issue, here’s a picture of how I did it on my 14″ Sprunger: Changing speeds could hardly be any easier. The motor is on a hinge mount with belt tension provided by the motor’s weight. The picture shows high speed; to change to low, lift up on the motor to slacken the belt and move it up to the small pulley on the jackshaft.
