If the motor is too small for the load changing the input isn’t going to help. While it may make some have a warm fuzzy feeling to run everything on 240 it usually doesn’t do much for the bottom line unless its very heavily loaded for long times and that is even over simplification. I have 3/4 hp garage door openers, could be ran either V,, but they are 120, sure, a pinch more V drop but at a circuit length of 12 ft and a minute or 2 a day of service it isn’t worth it.

IIRC with 220 volt you probably draw the same amps total but you have 2.110. Starting current will place more load, and the motor will start slightly. If you are not using the equipment super heavy, and it is going to be a.hassle to get 220 to it, go with the 110.
