For most of what I do the bandsaw was faster though a bit less accurate in cutting. To be fair though, the my bandsaw was in a much more used and worn condition than the hacksaw. It had lived in a voke school shop for many years so I had to do some work to it to get it back close to original form and function, but I would likely still be happily using my bandsaw if I had not gotten it.
