Although it did not specifically state that it was aluminum, only that it was “metal,” it certainly has the appearance of aluminum, which is deceiving. It appears to be some sort of magnetic metal, though I’m not sure what it is. It has the exact appearance of aluminum, but it is much heavier than aluminum. To ensure that the M12 bolt moved properly through the arc of the curved slot, I had to file it heavily with a file because the slot had different thicknesses throughout the curve.
Disappointing!
