My table saw if you call it that did not quite cut very straight and I was able to make 1 cutting board so far but as you could guess each block was a little different in thickness so I plan on using my belt sander to level it if possible since I do not own a drum sander nor have access to one. Still trying to think of a clever signature……. I don’t have a drum sander either and a belt sander is my only option. Make sure you give the entire surface the same sanding time to keep from sanding it out of flat.
I am getting to the end of my first woodwhisperer inspired endgrain cutting board and due to some rookie ‘learning experiences’ the final glue up has left the strips at uneven heights. If this wasn’t endgrain I was working with, I would get it flat with a block plane, but I don’t really see that as an option with endgrain. I have a couple RO sanders and a belt sander at my disposal, but I’m concerned that by using these it will be difficult to get the board really flat.
