My previous 1-star review was based on how I felt about customer service and how bad I thought the product was when I opened it.

The device I got didn’t work right. You’d have to push or pull the blade out to get it to work again. “Getting what I paid for” was what I thought of. It worked well enough for me to make most of the cuts I had to make. I thought at the time that calling customer service would be pointless. It was my fault.

After taking a week off to do other things, I came back and this time when it didn’t work, it didn’t work at all. Pull the trigger, and it would just let the air pass through, not do anything else.

A hundred pieces of the o-ring that holds the piston in place came out when I took away the bottom cover. I looked inside to see what else I could find. It had completely broken down. My best guess is that it was just a bad luck. Is it possible that the O-ring is broken. Regardless, this made sense of everything I had seen, even on the first day. It was clear that the ring was getting nipped or pinched at times and not sealing properly, which caused the device to act in a weird way. Finally, it ran out and the device didn’t work at all.

Asked Berkling for an o-ring replacement, and they said they could send me a replacement if I sent them the device. They would repair and check to make sure it worked, or send me a replacement under warranty.

In fact, I’m changing my review to 5 stars because in my travels, customer service like that isn’t found nearly as much as it used to be. There is a lot of trust in the company because they want to make sure they do everything they can to make sure the device I get back works the way it was meant to.
