There is no mechanical clutch on the Black & Decker(R) 20V MAX Lithium Cordless Drill with Autosense Technology. Instead, the drill has an automatic clutch that is three times more accurate than a mechanical clutch. Homeowners don’t have to try and try again to figure out how to set the clutch anymore. It has two modes: drill and drive. In drive mode, a microprocessor keeps track of how well the tool is working. A lot of torque changes quickly when the screw is in the material. The microprocessor looks at how quickly things are changing and stops most screws flush with the material in three milliseconds, which is about how long it takes for the screws to stop moving.
This drill is just great. Easy to use and hold. It has a lot of great things about it. VERY well and for a long time. I used this drill to put together a burning barrel that had a lot of screws and other fasteners that needed a lot of torque to get them to stay in place. The features are many and easy to work with as you do all of your many tasks. It would be better if the work light could be a little more focused on each job. It does let you see your work area a little better.
From Black and Decker and other tool companies, you can get many different kinds of drill boxes and other tools. I made my own drill box and accessories out of the many different kinds of things you can get from them. That may be the only thing I don’t like about this drill, but my whole set for it is pretty cool now, if I may brag about it so!. Straight and Phillip’s bit drivers come with the drill. They fit on the drill’s foot and are very useful when you need them. To get the best deal, you have to look around for the best price. I told you before that you won’t have to change them very often, because they charge for a long time. It’s too cool. It goes forward and backward with a button near the trigger that makes it easy to change. The speeds can be changed and the driving power is great. If you buy this drill, you won’t be disappointed with it or with the other features I didn’t talk about. Greatest drill I’ve ever had that I can take with me.
