We purchased the 3/8-inch drill four years ago and were unable to use any of the larger bits with it at the time. Not only that, but the drill didn’t last as long as it should have. This Black & Decker 7.0 amp 1/2 inch drill is a powerful tool that gets the job done quickly. I put it to use as soon as it arrived and was extremely pleased with the results. The stabilizing handle makes it incredibly simple to control and keep the bit straight, even when drilling through thick metal, as I recently discovered while drilling through steel.
I had considered purchasing the more expensive Mikita or DeWalt tools, but I’m glad I didn’t. This drill is every bit as good as the ones I would have paid twice as much for if I had purchased the other two brands.
