2 months after I bought the sander on Amazon, I used it for the very first time (I figured that was long enough to prove my independence). I was sanding a part of the plaster ceiling and upper wall (both plaster) that I had patched a lot before I bought the sander. One of the reasons I didn’t do this for so long was because I was afraid that plaster dust would spread through the house and make our dogs sick when they licked it off their paws. Some of us might also lick our dog’s paws, even though we don’t often.
You can hold the sander at arm’s length and still control what the sander does. A lot of sanding went on and off as I changed hands, moved the ladder, and so on. It took me about 4 to 5 hours to sand. The sander was able to get into the small space between the wall and the ceiling very quickly. As long as I’m not finishing furniture, the sander did a good job of, well, sanding it. Even though I didn’t expect much, I wasn’t smothered by dust, and there was plaster dust in the little bag that it came in.
