This sander is very good. In order to use the sanding discs I bought, I had to figure out that my old craftsman sander does not accept the hook and loop (velcro) that most sanders today do. I had to buy new sanding discs. I bought a new sander because I couldn’t find anything else that worked. In general, I don’t use a sander very often. But if I do, I want to make sure it will last and work well. There is a cheaper name that is still well-known: Black and Decker. I bought this one. Because of the price, I can say that I’m satisfied. On or off? I like that there isn’t a switch. All of the top piece is a switch. You can turn it on and off very quickly with this, and you can also lock it on as well. This is an 8-hole sander. Most sanders and discs have 8 holes. Because it takes so long to clean out the dust collector, I don’t think it’s worth it to buy this. When I kept shaking the thing, dust kept coming out. I used my air compressor to clean it out, and that seemed to work out well for me. I have used this to glue boards together and it worked well. Each time I worked on my project, I sanded for about half an hour. It is a very simple and cheap sander, and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes to do DIY projects.
