On this “4 inch” shroud, a 4″ blade is shown in the photo. In this case, not only is the shroud opening the same size as the cup wheel/blade, but the blade sticks out 1/4″ from the face of the shroud, indicating an interference fit. There is a flat, flush-cut blade in the picture that interferes with the edges of the shroud and with a few details that have been cast in place inside the shroud. I seriously doubt you’ll be able to use this with a 4″ cup wheel. The brushes would not come into contact with the ground.
Have not used it yet, but because it is not returnable at this time, I will give it a try and report back. Expect it to fail miserably.
