Backfill and gravel are compacted quickly with the Bosch Tamper Plate thanks to the tamper plate shank’s tough hammer steel.
It can be used with a lot of different types of hammer shanks, like SDS-max, spline/round hex, and 3/4 In. hex.
Works with the HS1828 tamper plate and the HS1969 carbide bushing tool, as well as other tools.
The shank of the tamper plate is 9 inches long.
People who use the 2-1/8 Bosch SDS max max hammer can make big aggregate into smaller aggregate if they stay in one place for too long. This unit works well with that machine. It’s not easy to use a vibratory plate compactor, like this one, to compact soil and gravel right next to a stem wall or frost wall. Jumping jacks and 700 lb vibratory plate compactors have been used most of the time. Both of the big compactors can’t get all the way into a corner, though. This tamper plate is great for places that are hard to reach.
