Buy BOSCH GKF125CEK Colt 1.25 HP (Max) Variable-Speed Palm Router Kit with Edge Guide BOSCH GKF125CEK Colt 1.25 HP (Max) Variable-Speed Palm Router Kit with Edge Guide

It has a powerful 1.25-HP Max motor and can go from 16,000 to 35,000 RPM. This makes for a durable, solid, and precise palm router.

Groundbreaking depth-adjustment system – ensures that the depth adjustment is correct.

It has a 360° aluminum base that doesn’t split. It has a wide-bit capacity that can hold bits up to 1-5/16 inches wide.

LED lighting – makes it easier to see the area around the bits.

Variable speed dial: 16,000 to 35,000 RPM. This allows you to match the speed to the workpiece and the task.

The Bosch GKF125CE Colt is a variable-speed palm-grip router that has a maximum power of 1.25 horsepower. You can feel the power in your hand. The GKF125CE has a palm-grip design with a soft-grip that makes it easy to hold, making it easier to use than bigger routers. But it also has a lot of power, with a 1.25 HP (max) power rating. It’s a lot more than a laminate trimmer. It’s the best tool for rounding over deck planks and railings, mortising hinges, making decorative edges, cutting slots, making window cutouts, and more. The motor has soft-start circuitry, a variable-speed dial, and Constant Response circuitry to keep it going even when there is a lot of weight on it. It has a PR101 fixed base with macro- and micro-fine depth adjustments, as well as a round subbase that can be centered. There is a straight-edge guide that can be used to guide the bit up to 3-5/8 inches from the edge of a piece of wood. It also comes with a carrying case.

Well, I think I spent $500 on a Bosch mid-size router and table with fixed and plunging bases. I found little to no use for that in my work as a weekend warrior or a DIY person.

This trim router and this extension to all trim, or palm router, are more useful when you are just starting out. They make it easier for you to learn how to do things.

Weight is important so that you can hold it tight and stay in the writer’s chair. You should try it. It’s good and I like it.

From the middle of the throat, the tool can be held by hand. As it sounds, holding from the top (head) may be safe, but that’s not the case. Tool will be more likely to run away or fall. I like the way it looks at things.

To hold the tool at the plate, positive finger tabs to keep it there are very nice. It will be less likely for your finger and thumb to slip because fingers get a direct feedback from the grip. This means you can take your eyes off of the figure. I thought it was good and useful to keep my fingers out of harm’s way, so I did.

Power and a soft start are great. Soft start allowed the tool to rise without having to ride on the back of a bull. I haven’t played with any wood that could be a threat to my strength. When I used softwoods like plywood, formica, and mdf, it worked the way I thought it would.

Adjustments. An easy way to change bits and set the cut depth. I haven’t used it for work that needs to be done very carefully. I was able to get what I needed by eyeballing and using reference material. I can’t blame the tool if I make a mistake when I measure.

This is a good palm router that I should have bought sooner. I’ve been woodworking for about a year now, and I think it’s good.

Lights stay on if the tool is plugged in. Some other tools can learn and adapt. Among them: table saws.

The bits I need are being bought as I need them and in a price range that fits my budget.
