I mostly use this drill for electrical rewiring and other small jobs around the house. Love how powerful and small this drill is. It’s very easy to rough in electrical lines because this driver fits in between the studs very well. I don’t want to do anything. 3/4 to 1 inch holes go right through 2-inch wood studs with no problems at all. It gets very hot very quickly when you use it to drill 1 1/2-inch holes, though.
This drill is small and can get into places that my 18v drills can’t get into. I like how this drill can be used for so many different things, so I’ll probably keep it. The charger that comes with this kit is very slow. It will take a long time to charge the batteries that have been used up. In the long run, I don’t mind this. Slow charging is the best way to charge lithium-ion batteries anyway. The led light is a lot less bright than the Bosch 18v drills. I can still see what I’m doing, though. The drill is very noisy. It’s louder than any of the Bosch 18v drills I own.
I buy Bosch products because they last, and they make the best, most powerful lithium-ion batteries of any company, so I choose them over other brands. I’ve never had a Bosch drill break down. There is a lot of good with this drill. I think that the trade-offs are worth it. As long as Bosch drills are on sale, I will keep buying and using them.
