The BOSCH JA1007 Dust Extraction Kit can be used with BOSCH JS470E and JS470EB Jig Saws. It can be used to collect and remove dust from the saws. This kit comes with a Clear Dust Hood (2605510293), a Dust Tube (2605730055), and a Vacuum Hose Adapter (VAC024).
It’s time to know what you’re getting: Bosch and Fein are both making new blade lock technology that doesn’t require you to touch the blades. This is a no-touch on and off system for these blades. Can’t use old OIS blades. It doesn’t say it can.
I find it hard to believe, but the OSL blades that work with this can also go on old Bosck multi-tools. But the GOP40 won’t be able to use OIS blades. A hex wrench or tool is no longer needed to put blades on and take them off. When you turn the lever, they pop right off. As a result of the number of places where the blades connect, I think the power transfer is stronger and there is no slop at all in the blade movement. And you still have all of the places where you can be attached to each other, too.
The unit itself is a big, strong thing. At the lowest setting, there is no lack of power because the motor has a 4 amp motor. The tool is very durable, but it’s also very light at 3.5 pounds and doesn’t have as much vibration as cheaper tools. For a multitool, the noise level isn’t as high as you’d expect. As for how to use it, just go to YouTube. You can do your own renovation work with this tool. It was worth its weight in gold just to get rid of old caulk.
If you are deciding between this unit and one that still takes OIS blades, I would point out that OIS blades are much cheaper and there are generics out there. If you’re just going to go through a lot of blades, you don’t need to buy a machine that doesn’t have a new blade attachment system. The GOP 40 is great all around.
