The blade on the first one broke after about 20,000. 4 years ago I bought it. Blade break is very common. I ordered a new blade and bought a new gun while I waited for the new one to come in the mail. A new stapler came, but it hasn’t worked well. But the button slider took a long time to move. Caps would be a wait. It stopped. EReplacement Parts sent a wrong blade for our stapler, so we put the slide from our first stapler on our new stapler and now we’re good.
Take note of this. This is what happened when I looked at a slider that was moving very slowly. I just put some oil on one of its parts and that made a huge difference. You can see from the picture that there are four little holes on the outside of the cylinder. You can only see one if you take the gun out of the holster to look at it. A hole is visible when you take the little air hose and turn the piston inside its holster. This is how you see it. A little hole has a small amount of oil in it. Fill it with oil, then move the cylinder around. This helped me.
