Belgian sweet sugar that is soft and chewy (light Brown – 1 lb). manufactured in the United State. Brewmaster is the company that makes this product. Homebrewers’ outpost brand products are available for purchase.
Although the product pictured was Brewer’s Best – Brun Leger (light brown candi sugar), it was not the thing I really received. Brun Fonce, Brewmaster, was the package I received (dark brown candi sugar). Currently, I am stuck using the incorrect sugar in a recipe that I will be making tomorrow, and I am unsure of the outcome of the recipe. This is a recipe that I make on a regular basis. I’m a little disappointed that I might wind up wasting 6 hours brewing, weeks in primary and secondary fermentation, and then kegging and carbonating just to discover that I have 5 gallons of beer that I don’t care for after all of this effort. I don’t have any other options for purchasing this in my area, which is a major nuisance. They made matters worse by placing a generic sticker on top of the product sticker. The original label reads Brun Fonce, while the sticker over the top, which obscures the label, reads Light Brown (or Brun Leger).
