I wrote this to the company. In the past, my wife has used this tool to cut holes in egg shells, which she turns into Christmas decorations. It worked perfectly last fall. This week, she oiled and put it away. It’s easy to turn the collet by hand and there are no air leaks. When I try to turn it on, the air blows out of holes in the back of the hose plug (index number 6) and the collet doesn’t move at all. There was no corrosion when I took the tool apart, and it was well lubricated. When we bought the tool two years ago, it didn’t work. We’re heartbroken, because we were so excited about it. It has been well taken care of and only used for light work.
I didn’t get any money from the manufacturer. I’ve bought a second unit and I’m putting it on a shelf and turning the collet by hand to keep it well-lubricated. Early to tell.
